First Time India Trip
First time, truly solo (no other tourists) trip to India. All was as advertised. I saw many astonishing places, and the workmanship of the rugs, textiles, clothes, jewelry, marble works was amazing! Be prepared to buy more than you expect. My driver, Takhat, was fun to travel with. He made great suggestions along the way. Our small group has just completed an 11-day Golden Triangle and Safari tour, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. We were deeply impressed by the food, the people, and the culture of India. Our host and driver, Mahendra Rao, was exceptional and ensured that everything ran smoothly. From an immaculate car, navigating chaotic streets to resolving hotel issues, he was consistently attentive. He kept us supplied with fresh water and tissues, provided exquisite restaurant recommendations and also included several impromptu stops that were not on our original itinerary which we were all thrilled with. A very enjoyable solo trip!
Please note that this is not necessarily a group tour: since departure is guaranteed even with one traveller, I found out upon arrival in Delhi that it was going to be a solo trip for me. An unforgettable trip and experience
I had an absolutely amazing and enlightening 11 days trip to Delhi, Rajasthan and Agra. Swastik offered an incredibly beautiful trip. It contradicted practically everything negative thing I had often heard about India. My driver, Kapil, was simply outstanding!!! He went out of his way to help me everyday of the trip. He recommended restaurants and places to go. He spent hours trying to help me with my new I17 Apple IPhone, which was not connecting to WiFi as always the first 3 days of the trip. Great driver
The trip had positive and negative experiences. The most positive was our driver Mr Kapil who was really great to get along with. He had a gentle personality and was willing to go with us to sights that were far and late at night. We enjoyed the restaurants he took us to, Jhumar was great in Udaipur. He gave us knowledge of how the country has developed, I was a former Indian , my roots so I was glad to see progress. Highly recommend Mr Kapil for your trip. On the minus side , some of the Hotels left much to be desired. Some had no hot water, some were just plain not clean. Grand Heritage hotels were difficult to get to our rooms with steep stairs. I took a 5-day Golden Triangle Tour booked via KK Holidays n Vacations. I am not familiar with the Swastik tours name. This review link was sent to me by my driver, Yogesh, and I am leaving the review to say that I highly recommend Yogesh. Yogesh was a skillful driver and guide, and he was extremely helpful. I arrived at Delhi airport after midnight and he waited a couple of hours for me when my baggage did not arrive with my flight. He let me use his number as a local contact, and he helped retrieve my luggage when it finally arrived more than 30 hours late.  ...Read More
